As an advance, I said this post would be up within the week but work and weather got in the way.

The car is a 2004 Mercedes S-600 AMG package with the caramel designo interior spec. It has 79,xxx miles and is fully warrantied. The stats are 503/590 hp/ft lb torque. This is the fastest car I’ve ever owned by a mile.

APPERANCE 8/10

I personaly love the styling of the w220, but it can be a little awkward from some points of view. Also, fuck you I love the tail lights.

INTERIOR 10/10

Mine w as optioned with the designo interior option that adds leather onto the already copious amounts of leather and add s a really nice type of wood veneer to the interior. The underseat cubbies do feel a bit cheap though and the alcantara headliner is a bit dirty but it can’t really be helped much.

SOUND 8/10  It’s not loud per say but it isn’t ghost quiet by any means. The Bose system is meh at best.

ACCELERATION/TRANSMISSION 16.8/10

I would describe the acceleration as somewhere between a gentle thrust and scary fast. The transmissions an auto and is whatever.

VALUE 10/10 for the money ($17,000) this car is insane. I love it.

Very nice - I could make a decent living driving it as a black car in NYC. A question - maintenance? Will it need a front end, motor mounts, window motors (a big deal on my ‘87 Merc) sunroof motor and cable? Don’t think it has turbo(s) so that’s one less thing to go wrong.

Please forgive me, but I remember paying for MB parts. A lot.

It’s a 5.5 biturbo. The biggest thing that goes wrong mechanically is the coil packs. Otherwise the motor is fairly reliable. The biggest thing to watch out for is the abc suspension going wrong and normal wear and tear. I'll post the carfax if I can find it.

In comparison it’s more efficient, even if it was as reliable. My truck still has 18,000 miles of the warranty. I shouldn’t have used the warranty argument to get my truck.

Nice that they got it sorted. I recall getting 2 RR window motors under warranty and paying for one (‘87 W124). Sunroof froze open and I barely made it under the dealer’s canopy before a rainstorm. Cruise control, radio coded - lots of little things that made me a bit crazy. It was a diesel, but that was only the engine. The rest of the car was glitchy at best.
